Chain Of Kindness

As a high school math teacher I have a goal to create a safe and supportive environment. Taking 5 or 10 minutes out of class each day to discuss topics that are more relevant to a teenage perception of "real life" than the Pythagorean Theorem is, establishes a climate that is more conducive to learning and open discussion. This blog is a chronicle of the activities and discussions that we do in class.

Stand Up Quote

"It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends."  -Albus Dumbledore (aka J.K. Rowling)

When you choose to stand up to an enemy (or a stranger) you've really got nothing to lose, but when you stand up to your friends you risk damaging that relationship.  Sometimes it's worth it!!
